From Outdated Amenity
to Vibrant Destination

Create Lasting Camp Memories
When the City of Belleville faced an aging kiddie
pool that was draining resources, they saw an
opportunity to do something different. Rather
than replace it with another traditional pool,
they partnered with CRS to embrace a creative
solution—an inclusive splashpad with shade
structures and seating. The Splashpad opened
with record attendance and receives ongoing
recognition for inclusive design.
Camp Modin had always placed a strong emphasis
on its waterfront activities, but leadership saw
an opportunity to maximize their shoreline and
transform their aquatic amenities into a true
centerpiece of the camp experience with a floating
Aqua Park.
The Result: Belleville maximized its space at the
fraction of the cost of a new pool. The Splashpad
now serves as a gathering place for all ages and
abilities that draws families daily, boosts local
pride, and delivers lasting value to the village.
The Result: Camper satisfaction soared and program
enrollment grew by giving campers an experience
they’d never seen before. CRS designed a custom
floating Aqua Park that grew each season, adding
features such as a floating volleyball court, a
towering slide, aquatic climbing walls, an inflatable
rope swing and more.
